CHÀ DE FEIJOAL – MONTE TRIGO

The hike will be challenging, but it will be worth it. The alarm must be given before dawn, both for the duration of the trip and to avoid the heat.
The routes

The landscape of the Planalto Norte will remind you of the moon or the desert between volcanic cones and shades of yellow. The view will be even more fascinating from the top of Tope de Coroa, the highest mountain on the island at 1,979 m and the second in Cape Verde, probably the best view on the western side. On clear days it will be possible to see the top of the Fogo volcano (250km away). The descent will take you to the small fishing village, accessible only on foot or with traditional boats.

Here you can sleep at Mrs. Crisalda ‘s house or take a ride on the boats to go to Tarrafal de Monte Trigo.
