MONTE PRETO – SÃO JORGE – SALINAS

The walk begins near the imposing Monte Preto volcano, now extinct, responsible for the geomorphological characteristics of Salinas. The slow descent towards the sea is very suggestive thanks to the contrast between the different shades of black of the lava and the different types of green. On the one hand the volcanic landscape and on the other the wide variety of endemic plants, legumes, vegetable gardens and fruit trees such as mango and guava.
